Get ready for a weekend of family fun at the Twin Ports Pet Expo, April 17th and 18th at the DECC. The Twin Ports Pet Expo is a pet lovers paradise. You can shop for your favorite pet or pet lover at more than 30 exhibit booths of pet-related products and services. Enjoy entertaining shows and learn more about your pet in The Pet College! Fun for the whole family, but please leave your own pet at home.

The Twin Ports Pet Expo presents "Pet College". This area will be a place for you to learn more about your pet and how you can help make their lives happy and healthy! All Saturday and Sunday experts will take to the stage in the Pet College, sharing knowledge, giving demonstrations and taking your questions. Adoptions The Twin Ports Ports Pet Expo will feature many great rescue organizations and animal shelters. All of which will offer various animals for adoption. This is a great chance to meet a animal that needs your love and attention.

The Wildcat Sanctuary joins The Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth for a winter gala event to benefit The Wildcat Sanctuary. Local and state-wide wineries and breweries will showcase their favorite wines and beers for residents and guests of Duluth and the surrounding area. “Waves and Whiskers” is scheduled for Saturday evening, April 17, 2010, the event will showcase local and statewide breweries and wineries within a "safari" theme setting. You'll also be able to visit with a variety of groomers, pet therapists, vets and other pet services. Plus chances to win some great prizes all weekend long! 
greeted and given a "passport" for their safari journey through the many tasting stations. Along the safari path will be stories, photos and videos detailing the TWS residents and their lives before and after the sanctuary, as well as information on their species and natural habitat. The event will run from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $30 per person in advance or $40 per person at the door. Tickets give entrance to the event, wine and beer tasting, appetizers, dessert, coffee and a souvenir glass.
